In the Blood

Produced in Purdue’s Mallett Theatre, which is also a black box experimental theatre. In The Blood is a story of oppression, rejection and hopelessness. It sheds light on many modern societal issues including oppression of black
women, the poor, and the homeless. The story does so with a delicate balance of adolescence comedic relief and the harsh reality that surrounds the main character, the single mother. This is the first production I participated in after arriving at Purdue in the spring of 2021. I served as the sound board operator and successfully completed the production and live stream of this performance.
